What the hell am I doing?
Welcome to the home of the rantings of a transgender asshole. What can you expect to see here? Well, it'll more than likely be me talking about something related to anime, or video games, or music, or society, or porn, or politics, or movies, or porn, or novels, or porn, or comic books, or porn, or manga, but primarily porn. So, sit back, get comfortable and start questioning why you're here.

New, interesting ways of swapping spit: The Anime?

Most of the winter anime were rather shitty. The best of the lot (and so far, my favorite anime of 2012) was the series Another. It’s a story about a curse being placed on a classroom that kills off students of the class. When the Main Character shows up to the class, he notices there’s a girl no one seems to realize exists and by such he starts to believe her to be a ghost. It starts off rather Final Destination-ish. Once the curse gets explains (which doesn’t take too long to happen, maybe in episode three?), a plot starts to build and all that good stuff. Pretty good show.

Then, being into the Bakemonogatari series, I checked out. Nisemonogatari.  It chronicles what happens to Araragi and Shinobu after Oshino leaves town. The main plots of it all detail the abnormalities regarding his sisters. The show was rather lackluster (as was the novel it’s adapted from), mostly being fanservice with endless talking, but no payoff. Later this year, Kizumonogatari will be released as a movie, and all the wrongs will be made right, because Kizu was an awesome novel.

Then there’s Rinne no Lagrange. It’s a fun watch, more slice of life with occasional mecha/intergalactic war plot. I really got into the characters and their internal (and rather petty) dramas. I especially liked the dude dressed as a maid….I’m not quite sure why yet.

A favorite of mine, that’s still currently airing, is Mouretsu Pirates. It’s about a girl who inherits her father’s pirate ship/crew (apparently captains run through lineage? I dunno). She’s a [college] student (I think it’s college, could be high school), because Japs love them kids doing adult jobs thing. Here’s a kicker: it’s not normal IMMA TRAVEL THE SEVEN SEAS piracy, it’s IMMA TRAVEL THE UNIVERSE piracy: Mother Fucking Space Pirates. Don’t go into this expecting lots of violence and whatnot, it’s mainly a comedy that seems to be trying to have a family appropriate show going on. Still, the show is entertaining, and once it starts it’s Ghost Ship arc, shit becomes awesome (from hacking enemy ships, preventing your own ship to be hacked, trying to keep a princess alive and trying to bring home the bacon, this shit was really fucking fun). This show also has LOTS of references/analogies/etc. to past animes that were considered godly, kind of like a tip of the hat to them.

As for the others: Ano Natsu de Matteru was a decent romance between a human and an alien…that looks human. It also had some mild love triangle things, but they never really did much with it. Brave 10 was pretty much a run-of the mill shounen with ninjas and samurais. Wasn’t that bad, but it was nothing to really waste your time on if you aren’t into that type of thing. Black Rock Shooter had awesome art and some awesome fight scenes, but the whole thing was ruined by a plot filled with socially inept lesbians. Senhime Zesshou Symphogear had some AWESOME music, but it had a terrible plot. I also didn’t care for the character designs. High School DxD: Watch for boobs. Kill Me Baby was a really good watch. A comedy about two elementary school girls, one just happens to be an assassin. It’s a plotless, numerous stories every episode type thing, so it’s one that’s fun to sit back and relax to.

Winter anime was pretty decent. Hopefully the Spring anime will be just as good.

Looking forward to Tasogare Otome x Amnesia (love that manga), Uchuu Kyoudai, and Fate/Zero 2!
